Colorado Recreation Company Announces Independence Following Separation from Clayton Capital
Denver, CO – Colorado Recreation Company (CRC) is proud to announce that it is now a fully independent, privately held organization following the conclusion of its ownership by Clayton Capital. Effective July 2025, all revenue generated by CRC will remain within the company to support its operations, growth, and continued service to its customers and communities.
Founded to provide exceptional recreational experiences throughout Colorado, CRC has undergone several leadership and ownership changes in recent years. Olivia Clayton, who served as Vice President of CRC from 2008 to 2023, purchased the company in January 2023 through her firm, Clayton Capital, and became President of CRC at that time. Ms. Clayton resigned as President in July 2024 but remained active in leadership at Clayton Capital, which continued to own CRC until this year.
In July 2025, executives from both Clayton Capital and CRC reached a mutual agreement to part ways. With this transition complete, Colorado Recreation Company now operates independently, free from external corporate ownership.
“This new chapter gives us full control over our resources and the ability to reinvest directly into our facilities, staff, and the communities we serve,” said Darren Reyes, Current Vice President. “We are grateful for the opportunities we’ve had under previous ownership and are excited to move forward as a fully independent organization.”
CRC will continue to provide high-quality recreational services and remains committed to maintaining its strong relationships with partners, visitors, and employees across the nation.
