Am I required to complete an application and submit a resume?

Once you have spoken with an employment professional, you will have the option of completing an application or providing a resume.

When can I expect to hear back about my application?

The employment department will review your application within 24-48 hours after receiving it and if your qualifications meet the requirements of the job, you will be contacted via email or phone.

Where are the open jobs posted?

We attempt to post all open positions as they become available on our Job Listings page, and we utilize a variety of job boards.  If there is a specific site that you would like to work, and you have questions about the available opportunities, you may contact admin@coloradorecapply.org.

What is the employee culture like at the sites?

Our Company believes that our associates are the most important element to our success.  We strive to offer great pay, great benefits, and great experiences in order to retain our great teams.

What if I can only work for part of a season due to other commitments?

Please submit your application noting your work season limitations and this will be taken into consideration as we seek to fill our openings.

Will I be required to clean restrooms?

Yes, we stress the need for clean restroom facilities.  Our campers expect and deserve restrooms that are regularly maintained to high standards.  It is one of the most appreciated services a host can do for their guests.

Do I have to provide my own transportation inside the campgrounds or between campgrounds if I cover more than facility?

With very few exceptions you will be provided with a golf cart to do your rounds in the campground or if covering more than one facility then a company vehicle is provided. In the rare exception of having to use your personal transportation then you will be compensated.

What do we need to do to keep the campsites up to standards?

Check campsites after they are vacated and before the next camper arrives.  Make sure any trash/debris is removed from the campsite, including the fire ring (ashes need to be cleaned out when 3/4 full).  Take a good look around the site to make sure there are no unsafe conditions existing (trip hazards, broken or loose table seats/tops, etc. look up as well to make sure there are no tree hazards.

When a campsite is vacant is the time to do any needed trimming - do not trim when a site is occupied.

Will I have to purchase the needed supplies for maintaining the restrooms and sites?

No, any supplies or equipment needed to maintain the restrooms and campsites are furnished by the Colorado Recreation Company.

What does your company offer that others do not?

We have been in the recreation industry since 2008 when we were originally called 'Ortega Parks'. We strive to offer great benefits as well as wages and transparency.
